The puppy born to a sheep

Just read this story on Mail online. It’s hard to believe but then anything is possible. Although vets say that it is not possible cause they are 2 different species but Chinese farmer Liu Naiying this birth is nothing short of a miracle. One of his sheep had given birth to a dog & he’s very cute. His wool is just like lambs but his mouth, nose, eyes, paws & tail look more like that of a dog.

Mr. Liu told how he found the unusual baby animal shortly after it was born in one of his fields.

‘I was herding the sheep, and saw a sheep licking her newborn lamb on the grassland. The lamb was still wet,’ he said.

I went up close to check on the lamb I was shocked because it looked so weird, like a cross between a sheep and a dog. ‘I was a bit frightened, as I've been raising sheep for 20 years and had never seen such a creature.’

Yue Guozhang, a researcher at Xi'an City Animal Husbandry Technology Centre, said sheep and dogs were different species. ‘It's not possible that a sheep could become pregnant with a puppy,’ he said. ‘It's likely that this is just an abnormal lamb.’

Please help Buca find a loving home

Buca is a sweet little puppy. She is approximately 5 months old. She is a very sweet, loving dog and she loves people, particularly kids. But she’s all alone in the street & she’s just too little to be there and she desperately needs a good home. She’s been fed every day, but we need to find someone who could adopt her.You could see for yourself she's such a cute, lovable baby.

For more info on Buca, please contact Irma & this is her email address: irma_99_@hotmail.com

Mommy & Puppy

Can anyone help this mom and puppy? They have sarcoptic mange. There is no where to isolate them at the shelter and will have to euthanize them if they can't find a rescue. Puppy, especially, is at risk for contracting parvo. Mom is 18-months-old. Puppy's father was a German Shepherd. Owner was told over a month ago what to do for treatment, but did nothing. On New Year's Eve, she called one of our fosters and said the dogs had to go "NOW" so the foster went to get them and brought them to the shelter.

Please cross-post to anyone who may be able to help. Thanks!

Disturbing images

These are some very disturbing pics. And I totally agree that Science may have found a cure for most evil but it has found no remedy for the worst of them all - the apathy of human beings.

I also think that we, humans, have failed. We have created most of the problems for these innocent animals & very conveniently many people have no time for animals. In fact, they think that animals don't even feel pain. Feelings are everywhere & every living being can get hurt.

People will give you 101 reasons for running over cats & dogs on the road. There are some hypocrites who claim to be animal lovers but they don't even adopt a single animal. If you really want to help them out, you can at least provide home to just one stray & that would make a hell of a difference. If you can't adopt even one animal, then you get one neutered or spayed & that too will help in the long run.

And the amusing part is that besides those animal abusers, we also have people who would do everything to stop us from protesting, as they believe nothing could be done & if animals die, it's no big deal...people are also dying. I have never been able to understand this fucking comparison.
