The Story Of 2 Legged Lamb

In August 2010, a very cute two legged lamb was born in China. The lamb was to be chopped because of his two legs but when the sheep farmer Cui Jinxiu the lamb's determination to live, she dropped the idea. 

Cui said that she was so impressed to see the two legged lamb when he got up and went to his mother to drink milk. Cui hand reared the lamb from that day. Cui is very close to this particular lamb and takes great care of him. She couldn't slaughter the lamb because they are quite attached to each other now.

Cui says that the lamb is quick and follows her everywhere. He is extremely friendly and doesn't even feel that he has a disability.

Though I read in other stories that the doctors felt that the lamb might not survive for long because of his disability. Or as he would grow old he might face difficulties. However, it is quite possible that he would go on living a happy life. Many animals with such disabilities survive.

This little lamb story is quite positive. It shows there is hope for all of us. Many people may feel they are the two legged lambs but they may do just fine.

Justice for 100 Slaughtered Sled Dogs

One hundred healthy sled dogs were slaughtered by Outdoor Adventures Whistler - a dog sled company in April of 2010. After bookings for their Dogsled Tours slumped following the Winter Olympics, Outdoor Adventures Whistler ordered a decrease in the size of the company's dog pack. When a vet refused to euthanize the healthy animals, an employee took the culling into his own hands, using a gun and a mass grave.

Many dogs needed to be shot twice, and there are reports that some were buried alive.

The British Columbia SPCA is investigating the case. These lovely animals deserve justice and we should stand up for all the wrong that happened with them.

THE AUSTRALIAN DAIRY INDUSTRY WANTS TO STARVE NEWBORN CALVES! PLEASE HELP STOP THIS SICKENING ABUSE

In Australia approximately 700 000 calves are sent to slaughter each year because they are not wanted by the dairy industry. Within 12 hrs of being born they are taken from their mums, then at age 4+ days old these newborns are trucked to slaughter. Bobby calves are newborn calves that are less than 2 weeks old and not with their mothers.

Products from processed newborn calves include young veal for human consumption, valuable hides for leather and byproducts for the pharmaceutical industry.

When transported from farms to saleyards and abattoirs, bobby calves are often treated terribly. Many newborn calves struggle to walk by themselves, which can frustrate handlers who have very little compassion for these animals. Calves are often pulled, dragged and thrown about during the farm to slaughter process.

A tragic slaughter nearly wiped them out more than a century ago. Now some of America's last wild, genetically pure bison face hazing and slaughter as they leave the safety of Yellowstone National Park -- one of the last havens they have left.

Each winter, Yellowstone's bison migrate from snow-covered highlands to lower elevations outside the park’s boundaries in search of food.

But because of an unsubstantiated fear that bison will transmit a disease called brucellosis to domestic cattle, bison face a grim fate: Harassed back into the park where food is scarce; shot on sight; or shipped off to slaughter.

Help Stop the "Sickening" Sable Island Seal Slaughter Plan

A recent report brought to light a proposal prepared for the Government of Canada that would see 220,000 grey seals killed and incinerated in their protected Sable Island nursery.

To reach the proposed number of 220,000 seals, the cull and disposal program would run at birthing time each year for about five years and cost Canadian taxpayers an estimated $35 million.

Please urge the Canadian government to categorically reject this outrageous proposal.

Dog meat

This is sickening & they give justification for eating dogs. They think eating dog meat is not different from eating chicken or beef. I think they are freaks. And it’s all the more annoying to know people who support such monsters for eating dogs & cats. I presume when all the animals will be dead, they might start killing humans & give justification for that. I think they are fucked up. Anyway, this is what I read on the site:

“Dog meat is considered a delicacy in some Asian cultures (including China, Korea, Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Mayanmar).

In Vietnamese, "Thịt chó" means dog meat (Thịt = meat, chó = dog), and you see this sign on countless restaurants and shops around the country.­ In many regions, it is much more common to find dog meat than beef on the market.­

"Food dogs", i.­e.­ dogs raised for meat, are not pets and they have no names.­ They are bred in farms, just like pigs, beefs, lambs, chicken and other farm animals.­ They are probably bred in cages, which may be cruel but is common for most farmed animals anywhere in the world.­ They are put down "humanely" just like any other animal used for food, usually by slitting the throat and bleeding the animal until it passes out.­”
