Nocton Dairies is a company whom PETA fought and many people supported it in its cause. As a result of which Nocton Dairies has withdrawn its application to build an intensive dairy unit in Lincolnshire.
The massive US-style factory farm would have meant severe suffering for thousands of cows. PETA campaigned for almost a year to ensure the facility would never see the light of day.
Cows on dairy factory farms are forced to produce unnaturally high yields of milk, and their bodies are pushed to exhaustion by repeated impregnation. Their baby calves are torn away from them within hours or days of their birth, and the milk nature meant for them is sold in supermarkets.
More than 14,000 people stood up for this cause both PETA and non PETA members. So congrats to everyone who stood for this noble cause and keep on doing the good work. Keep in mind that each single vote and signature helps in a big way.
