This post is to spread the word around amongst as many people as possible. It is about the inhumane greyhound racing practices in USA.
HB 1145/ SB 1594 will end the cruelty of greyhound racing from all forms of gambling, removing the legal requirement that dog tracks host live racing in order to be licensed. This legislation is endorsed by humane groups widely. If approved, it will reduce and might just end greyhound racing in the Sunshine State.
Greyhounds suffer greatly due to dog racing as they are kept confined in cage like kennels in which they can barely stand up or turn around. In Florida, the dogs were even electrocuted while racing.
This is for all Americans ... please call in your state lawmakers today and ask your state representative to support HB 1145 and your State Senator to support SB 1594.
